The clean up continues today. I am way behind on laundry and I didn’t get that far into cleaning yesterday. There were just lots of little interruptions. However, I think today will be a productive day. I have a little extra motivation since we are having the house appraised on Wednesday. We also have some school work to finish up today. Needless to say, it’s been a two-cups-of-coffee kind of morning.

I think the kids had a great fall break. Especially the oldest two, as they have been able to spend a lot of time with friends. Now it’s back to the grinding stone. It’s time to work really hard up until Christmas break.

I spent some time in prayer this morning.  I am praying for my neighbors and their sweet new baby, for Antonio down in Mexico, and for all of our friends who have been sick. I also pray a lot for the future these days.

I have entered into a new phase of life. My baby is turning five and I have two teenagers now. My daughter will be driving soon and with that will come a new independence. She’s thinking a lot about life post highschool. She’s thinking about culinary school, college…big things! My oldest son is getting ready to turn fourteen. He is becoming a young man. The strides he has made in one year are amazing. Probably a year from now he will be a lot taller and have a deeper voice. It’s pretty weird to think about.

I find myself “waxing nostalgic” quite a bit. I look at old pictures and simply can’t believe that my babies have grown up so fast. It’s a little bit sad, but at the same time, amazing. I really am proud of who they are becoming. I look forward to seeing them grow and become adults. What will they do? Who will they marry? What will their lives look like? I find myself praying for their schooling, their choices, their friendships and their future spouses. These next few years will reveal a lot about how we have done teaching and training them.

Okay, it’s time to get to work! There’s a mountain of laundry to be conquered and a house to get in order. Have a great day!
