It’s been a good day. This morning I helped my friend Ellie weed her garden. I was paying it forward, for all the times that my friend Jeni has come over and helped me weed mine. Then we went and had lunch with friends of the golden variety. (As in, “Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.”) Then we took our oldest daughter to the bank to open a checking account and to deposit her first real paycheck. Bittersweet! I’m so proud of the young woman that she is becoming, but where is the time going? Then we went and visited some more friends. My friend Natalie and I pray together once a week. We walked around her backyard and prayed, while the kids played and Joshua happily paced around the front of the house gently bouncing little Abraham Joshua (his namesake). We picked up pizza on the way home. We just finished watching “Monument Men”, which I enjoyed. It has left me with questions that I will be looking for answers to. It seems that evil wants to destroy beauty and creative expression. I think I know why, but I am going to put some thought into this.
Then, I carried my littlest man up to his bed and I was delighted to find that the boys rooms looked incredible! We cleaned them on Thursday, and they still look amazing! That almost brought tears to my eyes. Purging is the way to go! I am motivated! I’m not done purging yet! I want my whole house to look that good. It’s gearing up to be a busy summer. It seems like something new gets added to our schedule everyday. I think it’s going to be a great summer though, full of family, friends, learning and gardening. I need my house to be low maintenance.
Well, this is short and sweet, and riddled with grammatical errors. I am sleepy though, and sleep wins tonight. Goodnight!
